CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King is, in case you are living under a rock, Oprah Winfrey’s best friend. So since she’s–we repeat–Oprah Winfrey’s best friend and also since she’s on TV five days a week, people send her stuff. Gifts–super swag. Gayle’s not a politician or any kind of public official (wait, is Oprah BFF a official job?) so she can keep the stuff.
So a couple of months ago she got sent the shoes below and, girl, she’s wearing them. Gayle gave a big shout out to Ivanka Trump who designed the shoes, saying Ivanka sent her the shoes “AND a note.” (Uppercase, Gayle’s.) Gayle seems easy to impress, right? And she seems to be even more impressed by the note than by the shoes. (Or at least as much.) Not many of us can send our own shoe designs to Ms. King, but hell, anybody can write a note. It’s good to know she likes both. She’s an editor after all–wouldn’t want it to be all about heels. Ivanka, btw? “Classy with a capital C,” says Gayle.
