Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is joining ABC’s Good Morning America team (Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer) as a regular contributor. Beginning this Monday, September 15, the Heisman Trophy-winning Tebow will interview people and share their stories of triumph in a regular segment called “Motivate Me Monday.”
Less than a month ago, former first child Chelsea Clinton left a similar job as a special correspondent for NBC News. Clinton also interviewed “ordinary people doing extraordinary things” for her segments, which were called “Making a Difference.” According to NBC, Chelsea’s segments did not attract particularly large audiences, but ABC executives told the New York Times that her celebrity brought “outsized attention to the communities and nonprofits she profiled.” Though perhaps less famous than Clinton, Tebow will be hoping to do the same.
