When not hanging out with Topshop CEO Sir Philip Green in St. Tropez, the former Commodore Lionel Richie is in the studio. Richie recently teamed with Barbra Streisand for her duets album Partners. Together they sang Streisand’s hit The Way We Were. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard a man sing The Way We Were,” Streisand admitted.
Richie told MailOnline: “Barbra and I had a wonderful time recording The Way We Were together. Barbra is a gift to the world.” A duet with Babs was on his career bucket list. Babyface, the producer of Partners (whom Babs calls by his real name, Walter), said “Why hasn’t this happened before?”
