Kandi Burruss, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, is taking her show on the road. Hot-lanta may miss the simmering show-stealer as she heads to cooler climes with her suprisingly touching musical stage show, A Mother’s Love. A Mother’s Love will open in September and play straight through to the holidays, when it’ll finish up in New York just before Christmas.
A Mother’s Love–a tender and jumpin’ take on mother-daughter relations–has been well-received by hometown fans and critics in Atlanta. The newlywed playwright and performer is also going to take advantage of the tour to drop some weight. Burruss defended her ample figure on RHOA last year, against ribbing about her weight from co-star Kenya Moore. But Burruss is changing her tune and helping promote a gonzo weight loss regimen by her trainer Kenya Crooks, who boasted he’s going to help Burruss drop 20 pounds in two months!
