Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting looks radiantly happy in a quick Norman Cook video that shows her smiling and saying “Season 8, here we come!” She certainly should be, as The Big Bang Theory returns with plans for big bangs–and laughs. Actors are always happy when they have work–downtime is an occupational hazard–and when they have work that pays $1 million an episode…that’s good times! (The three big shots in the cast–Cuoco, Jonathan Galecki and Jim Parsons did some pretty successful summertime negotiating to the tune of $270 million.)
This year in a plot twist Cuoco’s character Penny gets a “real” job–and her financial independence shifts the balance of power between her and her boyfriend Leonard. It’s a feeling–that of new financial independence–that Cuoco the actress should somehow be able to get in touch with, right? Maybe the financial shift will push the characters toward wedded bliss? Kaley Cuoco has reached such a huge level of popularity that a wedding episode, with Penny in Vera Wang, might draw the kind of TV audiences that royal weddings attract.
