During a surgical procedure on her vocal chords in a Manhattan clinic, comedienne Joan Rivers not only lost her legendary voice but her breath too. The 81-year-old was rushed to Mount Sinai hospital.
According to TMZ, an emergency call was placed to 911 saying, “We have somebody in either cardiac or respiratory arrest.” If Rivers recovers she’ll be the first one to crack a joke, either about the outfits the orderlies are wearing (she is the host of E! Fashion Police) or perhaps something more vulgar and offensive, that is her style.
