The associate director of the White House’s Office of Public Engagement, Brad Jenkins, has asked to be on The Hill’s 50 Most Beautiful People nomination list this year. Someone on his staff leaked his request, in memo form. But Mr. Jenkins shouldn’t be ashamed. His memo was effective — he’s on the list! And soon you can vote for him (voting will open July 29). That’s right, after ten years, The Hill’s 50 Most Beautiful People will be decided by (wait for it…) public opinion. You don’t even have to be a registered voter.
Hey, not everyone on Capitol Hill tans like John Boehner or has perfect hair like Nancy Pelosi but there are plenty of contenders (including Jenkins), worthy of your vote. Note: Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz) or “Mr. All-American” won the #1 slot in 2013.
