Sony is releasing a new ‘NSYNC album, The Essential. It’s a two-disc CD that includes all the known favorites likes “Bye, Bye, Bye” and a few previously unreleased songs. It’s being released on the 14th anniversary of the song “It’s Gonna Be Me” topping the Billboard Hot 100 list.
‘NSYNC member Lance Bass tweeted his surprise at the release, and sarcasm towards Sony: “I love when the record label doesn’t even tell you they are releasing a new ‘NSYNC album tomorrow! #TheyCare.” While it would have been smart for Sony to tell all the members, to get them behind it to promote it, should Bass really be complaining about making money without having to do anything? No doubt, he’ll be pleasantly surprised when he receives his next royalty check in the mail.
