Lego Batman 3 isn’t the right name for the third entry in the best-selling LEGO Batman videogame franchise. Because practically ALL the classic DC Comics superheroes are in it. But the brand got started with Batman and they’re sticking with it. “The Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth,” reads the trailer promo. And the cool thing is everybody looks great–Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, even Krytpo the Superdog are ready for battle. Brainiac beware!
Maybe the next one won’t be Lego Batman 4 though, if they’re going to keep including the whole cast. There’s some Batman fatigue out there. Just listen to ShadowFang in the comments at PCGamer: “it bugs me that they’re sticking to LEGO Batman. I mean, LEGO Justice League – how hard is that? Why is it always Batman? ..Batman (even)gets his name first in the MAN OF STEEL sequel…” TV Batman, and comics icon Adam West lends his voice to the game, which is awesome. ShadowFang has a pretty cool idea for this too: “Adam West should be added to all DC games now, much like how Stan Lee ends up in all Marvel movies.” Nice.
