Celeb photographer Howard Schatz is at it again. He’s packed more than 625 photos of 85 actors like John Malkovich, Sissy Spacek, Michael Douglas, Jane Lynch, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Brooke Shields into his latest book (his 20th!) – Caught in the Act: Actors Acting. Part photographer, part director, Schatz suggests a situation or character to an actor while he snaps away. The results document the complexity of the actors’ emotional and physical range. The 12 x 12” hardcover book (304 pages) is out now for $65. 100% of the royalties from Caught in the Act: Actors Acting will be donated in equal shares to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the SAG Foundation.
