An American Staff Sergeant in Afghanistan walked a mile off base to enter three different local houses and kill the sixteen people he found there, including six girls under the age of four. He piled up the bodies and set fire to them. The soldier is 38-years-old, married with two children. He’d been in Afghanistan since December. He had previously done tours in Iraq.
The president of the United States apologized.
