Chromo Tag is an outdoor game similar to laser tag or paintball but with water guns. Each player wears a badge (vest or t-shirt) with a temperature-changing, color-changing hydrochromic or thermochromic paint. That’s the target. Then let the water fight commence. When you hit a target, you’ll see the target changes color. When the color ink dries or disappears on your target, you can return to the game. The inventor behind Chromo Tag is 13-year-old Steven Huetteman. He and his dad Larry will pitch the game on The Toy Box on April 28.

Steven has experience presenting in front of toy biz people. He went to the Chicago Toy & Game Young Inventor’s Challenge and took home the top prize in the Senior Inventor’s Category (ages 12-18). The Toy Box airs Fridays at 8pm on ABC.
