The Lifetime movie Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le, tells the life story of Michel’le, the R&B singer who “sounds like Minnie Mouse” when she speaks but at the mic blows everyone away. While rising to stardom with N.W.A., according to the Lifetime trailer, she also fell into “tumultuous relationships” with both Dr. Dre and Suge Knight. Surviving Compton, which is narrated by Michel’le, depicts a violent tempered Dre. In one scene, in the studio, Dre holds Michel’le by the throat and threatens her: “You sing it like you feel it or I’m going to kick your ass.”
