The Rap Game is back on Lifetime for Season 2. (Miss Mulatto won last season.) Seven new young artists from all over the country will attend Jermaine Dupri’s ten-week rapper boot camp in Atlanta. They’re all competing for a record contract with Dupri’s record label, So So Def. The kids will get tips and encouragement from idols including Snoop Dogg, Timbaland and Da Brat, among others.

J.I. is the 14-year-old from Brooklyn who goes by the name “The Prince of New York.” He’s influenced by Tupac and Nas. According to Lifetime, “What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in impressive freestyles and a unique flow.” The Rap Game airs Friday at 10pm on Lifetime.
