Laith Al-Saadi is the 38-year-old bearded singer/guitarist who’s made it to the Top 12 on Season 10 of The Voice. The Ann Arbor, Michigan native on Team Adam is a big blues fan who likes to sing Joe Cocker and Beatles songs. Last week, he performed “With a Little Help from My Friends” to a rousing reception. Adam said of Laith that he is “a musician unlike anyone we’ve ever had.”
Before joining The Voice, Laith made it to the Grand Finals at Guitar Center’s King of the Blues in 2006. Laith didn’t have the long hair or beard back then but he certainly had the chops. (See video below.) Appearance shouldn’t matter — especially on The Voice where the whole premise hinges on the conceit that the coaches aren’t allowed to look before turning their chairs. But the long hair/bearded look is certainly working for Laith. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
