San Francisco architect Max Gunawan has created Lumio, a modern lamp that unfolds from a book. It gives users the freedom to experience beautiful lighting wherever they go. It’s an elegant lighting alternative – for indoor and outdoor uses. And you can fold it up and travel with it!
Like a laptop computer, you can plug in Lumio and use it as a permanent fixture. The built-in battery (last for 8 hours) can be recharged through a power connector located discreetly on the spine of the book. Lumio lamps weigh only 1 lb., and are available in three different woods – dark walnut, warm cherry and blonde maple. Smart, fun and functional design.
