Chris Christie isn’t backing down from his promise to go after Donald Trump, the current front runner for the GOP presidential nomination that Christie also seeks. As a result, Christie gets far more media attention that anyone else polling in his five percent neighborhood.
(Fellow four/five percenter Nikki Haley can attest that, so far, the media is less interested in her parroting anti-Woke Ron DeSantis and going easy on Trump than in Christie calling Trump a “cry baby.”)
Christie seeks to characterize Trump as simply unfit for office — he recently called Trump either a “liar or an idiot.” And in much the same way Trump gives Adam Schiff so much ammunition, Trump keeps giving Christie his prompts.
The former New Jersey Governor doesn’t have to go back and scour Trump’s presidential record to find fault — he merely waits for Trump to post on social media or give an interview and then he reacts to the latest eruption from the former president.
With the story that cocaine was found in the White House, Trump’s messaging was particularly enraged, as he impugned Joe Biden in saying the found drugs were for the President’s “use.”
Trump cast his angry net wide enough on that occasion to also capture Special Prosecutor Jack Smith in it. Trump demeaned Smith, saying he looks like a “crackhead to me.” Christie had his prompt. Again.
What kind of person calls a federal prosecutor a crackhead?

Sound like a President to you? Someone you trust with the nuke codes?
Get real.

“What kind of person calls a federal prosecutor a crackhead?” Christie asks, getting to the heart of all his attacks on Trump — the assertion that Trump is simply the wrong kind of person for the POTUS job.
“Look this is just what makes Donald Trump an unacceptable nominee for our party,” Christie says. “Because he says things like this without any regard for truth or falsity. Without any regard for the propriety of it.”
Why would Trump lash out this way? Christie gives an answer. For Trump, “this race is all about Donald Trump. It’s not about the American people. He doesn’t give a damn about the American people.”
