Before turning pro and playing in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), Sofia Huerta played college soccer at Santa Clara (2011-2014), alma mater of OG soccer legends Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, and Julie Ertz, among other soccer stars.
Now the American professional soccer player, who plays as a right back for Seattle’s OL Reign, is playing on the U.S. women’s national soccer team at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
When not on a soccer field, Huerta often models. When she shared the photos above, she captioned the series: “This year is about to be SPICY y’all.” Her fans and famous teammates dropped compliments including: “Gorgeous!” and “Too spicy for me!”
As seen below, Huerta also struck a pose in a plunging backless yellow dress with a thigh-high slit for fashion retailer Saks Fifth Avenue.
Get ready to see more of Huerta: she will appear in the upcoming Netflix documentary series, which follows the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team as they compete in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The docuseries is scheduled to be released in the fall.
Huerta and Team USA face Team Vietnam in a Group E opening match on Friday, July 21 at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand. FOX will broadcast the game live at 9 pm ET.
