Norwegian soccer star Erling Haaland of the Premiere League club Manchester City is not the first athlete to enjoy a fashion show. Legendary footballer David Beckham is married to former Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham — and the two are often front row when the haute couture runway action starts.
But Haaland did surprise some fans when he let his long blond hair down for the Dolce & Gabbana show in Italy.
The 6’4″ striker captioned the chic photo above: “Italy is blue” and tagged both the Italian fashion house and his team Man City, whose team colors are light blue (the same as Haaland’s D&G double-breasted suit) and white (the same as his D&G sunglasses and D&G open-toe sandals).
Fans of the 22-year-old, who usually wears his hair tightly pulled back in a ponytail, are showering him with compliments and ribbing. As one replied: “Next seasons character unlocked: Hair down Haaland.”
