The U.S. House of Representatives rejected a GOP effort to censure California Representative Adam Schiff, who led an investigation into former President Donald Trump‘s alleged ties with Russia.
The censure resolution claimed that Schiff, the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, “purposely deceived his Committee, Congress, and the American people” and “used his position and access to sensitive information to instigate a fraudulently based investigation, which he then used to amass political gain and fundraising dollars.”
News of the Schiff censure rejection broke two days after Trump was arrested in Miami where he faces 37 criminal charges for his alleged mishandling of classified documents.
While Schiff is running for U.S. Senate — to occupy the seat currently held by 89-year-old Dianne Feinstein — Josh Bocanegra is running for Schiff’s seat. Bocanegra is voicing his opinions and political plans as he reacts to Texas Governor Greg Abbott sending 30 immigrants by bus to Los Angeles, California.
Shame on you Greg Abbott.

While the whole world is focused on Trump and his crimes, you just kidnapped 30 undocumented migrants and trafficked them to Los Angeles.
The DOJ should charge you with kidnapping.
So here’s what we are going to do:
In the next term of Congress, if… pic.twitter.com/Kk80ghAGZy
Bocanegra writes to Abbott: “While the whole world is focused on Trump and his crimes, you just kidnapped 30 undocumented migrants and trafficked them to Los Angeles. The DOJ should charge you with kidnapping. So here’s what we are going to do: In the next term of Congress, if I’m elected, I’ll urge my colleagues to make it against FEDERAL law for any elected official to sign off on the malicious interstate transport of undocumented persons. Immigrants are not props. They are human beings.”
If you agree Abbott needs to face CRIMINAL charges for kidnapping and trafficking immigrants please chip in $5, $10, or $25 to send me to Congress so we can hold him accountable.https://t.co/ZIkVrII7nI

Bocanegra describes himself as the underdog in the congressional race for the #CA30 seat (Schiff’s district) and as “the sole Latino voice in this race, the youngest candidate, and a New Yorker with the sprit of a hustler and the heart of a Californian.”
