On Season 13 of Shark Tank, entrepreneur Hans Dose from Dana Point, California, pitched Tenikle, an octopus-inspired, hands-free device-holding suction-cup mount. Hans went into the Tank seeking an investment of $200,000 in exchange for 10 percent equity.
Hans had the good fortune of pitching in front of Shark Daymond John who has a history of investing in phone/computer accessories including Pooch Selfie (the phone accessory designed to get the perfect picture of you and your dog), and SoundBender, a magnetic sound amplifier that clips on iPads, among others.

Hans left with an investment from John: $200,000 for 30 percent equity.
Since then (the episode made its debut in December 2021), Hans reports: “One thing that most people don’t know is I had my sights on Daymond going into the tank. I wanted to work with him for MANY reasons, but the main thing is this: Daymond is a REALLY great guy who actually cares, gets involved, and helps so many entrepreneurs through his coaching etc.”
Hans adds: “Daymond saw the risk in this deal and knew what he was getting into, but he believed in me and saw my passion and believed in the product. We’ve had a few rad meetings already and I’m so stoked for what’s to come. (Trust me there’s a LOT more coming so “stick” with us).”
