More than 15 years ago, Hollywood movie star Johnny Depp (The Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Chocolat, Black Mass) was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey on her talk show. He was 42 at the time (he’s now 58.)
The title of the video clip below is: “Johnny Depp on His Unusual Childhood: “My Mom Liked to Move A Lot.” The subtitle is: “Johnny Depp opened up to Oprah about his beloved mother and his nomadic childhood.”
When Oprah asks Depp if it’s true that he lived in more than 20 different homes by the time he was 15 he said, “it might have been 40.” He joked, “Maybe 39.” When asked why, Depp replied: “My mom liked to move around a lot. A lot.” Depp’s parents divorced when he was 15.
Depp also talks about when his friend, actor Nicolas Cage, suggested that Depp try acting.
Above is a photo of Depp at home in 2022. He is the artist behind that painting on the wall. It’s of his late dog Mooh.
