The amiable (and very quotacious) giant Shaquille O’Neal — NBA legend — has been away from social media for a while, mourning the sad, much-to-soon passing of his beloved sister. But Shaq came back to Instagram to share Lakers star Dwight Howard‘s take on the All-Time Lakers starting five. (It’s a game people just love to play.)
Dwight Howard is as diplomatic as they come, and he makes himself the fun 6th man as he names his All-Time Lakers fantasy NBA lineup. The biggest question, literally, is always who’s your center — is it Shaq, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, or Wilt Chamberlain. Pretty sweet choices, right?
Howard solves this ingeniously by pushing Kareem to the power forward slot, allowing Shaq to do his big paint damage at C. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Magic Johnson round out the five, leaving Big Game James Worthy in an unfamiliar place. But that’s what lists are for.
Shaq said thanks to Howard, basically demonstrating how, when it comes to graciousness, game recognize game. Both Howard and O’Neal got plenty. Shaq added that he’s rooting for Howard in purple and gold: “you playing great keep it up bro proud of you.”
