Two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry is going to have to do more and different things for the depleted Golden State Warriors to compete this year. That’s the conventional wisdom.
The Warriors have been to five straight NBA Finals, but having lost Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala, they are no longer expected to command the top of the Western Conference. Shhhh. Don’t tell Steph Curry.
Watch below as Curry positions himself for an offensive rebound and skies over 7-foot NBA star Dwight Howard to grab it.
Then Curry scores — from about thirty feet closer than he usually scores from! So, offensive rebounding? That was something Iguodala did fairly well. Curry knows what holes need filling. He flexes his skill set to make the play, and then he flexes his muscles to celebrate it.
Curry again proves you cannot underestimate him physically or on the basketball IQ side — and you absolutely cannot ever, ever doubt his desire. You don’t get to be Shaquille O’Neal’s favorite player — as Curry is — without being able (and willing) to do it all.
