People around basketball have long looked to Juwan Howard as a consummate teammate and a player who went to work every day with his giant lunch pail. Howard was also one of the famous Fab Five freshman at Michigan who changed collegiate basketball forever in 1991.
Howard spent two decades in the NBA, winning two championships with the Miami Heat — and teammates Dwyane Wade and LeBron James. During the course of his career Howard played for TEN teams. For perspective, there are only 30 teams in the entire NBA.
Now Howard is working to build a winning family-style basketball culture at his alma mater, as the University of Michigan‘s head men’s basketball coach. In promoting a nice look at Howard’s efforts (above), Wade says of his former Heat teammate: “He’s a bad man. [There is] nothing not to love about Juwan Howard.”
