On the Season 6 premiere of Empire, “What Is Love,” two new singers are introduced on the show including Kiandra Richardson who performs the song “Heaven”, and Diamond White who portrays Lala, a super talented SoundCloud singer who delivers the single “Too Good” but has a serious case of stage fright.
As an actress, Diamond White is best known for her role as Penelope on Dear White People, as Tiffany in Tyler Perry’s Boo! Madea Halloween movies, and as the voice of Fuli in Disney Junior’s animated TV series The Lion Guard, among others.
Or you might recognize the 20-year-old from Detroit from Season 2 of The X Factor in 2012 when Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were judges! (White finished in fifth place).
EMPIRE airs Tuesdays at 9 pm on FOX, right after the medical drama The Resident at 8 pm.
