“Both of them are very unselfish, so it should go well,” Shaquille O’Neal says about the dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. But the big fella is cautious about expectations. He not only says “Steph and Klay” are still the “best duo in the NBA” — despite the James/Davis tandem — he also says about James/Davis: “it looks fabulous but they haven’t stepped on the court yet.”
Shaq knows plenty about chemistry between a dominant big man and a dominant wing player. He had Nobel Prize type chemistry with Kobe Bryant in LA — until he didn’t. Then Shaq had tremendous chemistry with Dwyane “Flash” Wade in Miami, wining his fourth title there. The big man spent the latter parts of his career searching for a similar chemistry but never found it again.

How long till the Anthony Davis LeBron James chemistry is “fine-tuned?” Shaq says “It depends. I would say about 20 games…It’s pick and pop, lobs, it’s not rocket science. They definitely know how to play.”
