ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel polled his audience members about who the most popular K-Pop acts are right now. Of course, BTS was the first answer from the two young women Kimmel gave the microphone to.
It’s pretty easy to uncover the BTS popularity juggernaut, even if you’re not a K-Pop listener — on social media the young Korean heartthrobs dominate the scene. Kimmel, who did his research, jumped in showing he knew something about the topic, offering up Super Junior. The Super Junior mention excited fans like Lu (see below) who was astounded to find Kimmel talking about Super Junior and labeled the mention an iconic moment for K-Pop.

But for the audience members Kimmel asked, after the first answer to his “most popular” question — BTS — the young women said Big Bang and then Exo. Check out the work of these two super popular K-Pop bands below. After a look at BTS’s very big appearance on Kimmel back in 2017. So the young women polled ranked it BTS, Big Bang, Exo, and then gave the nod to Kimmel’s Super Junior. Girls’ Generation, Got7 and SHINee are also in the huge K-Pop popularity mix.
