NBA hoops legend and DJ extraordinaire Shaquille O’Neal travels with his Bass All-Stars when he’s not on the road with fellow Inside the NBA commentators Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson. And Shaq is bringing the bass all over the place this summer, from legendary Red Rocks to the nation’s Capital.
Shaq is a hugely successful businessman as well as TV personality, DJ and genial Hall of Famer. But Shaq’s main job? He’s an influencer superstar. Shaq recommends something and it flies up the charts or off the shelves. So how pumped is DC hot spot Echostage? It’s not just that Echostage is getting Shaq’s big bass lineup on June 29th. It’s that in announcing the jam, golden influencer Shaq just happened to call Echostage “one of my favorite clubs on earth.”
Shaq, of course, isn’t the only one who knows the deal. As Echostage announced in March, it’s been “voted #1 in the USA for the second year in a row and #4 in the world in @DJmag #Top100Clubs poll.” But the Shaquille O’Neal nod travels far, and just made Echostage known to many people far outside the Beltway who haven’t yet heard the Echo.
