Makeup Junkie Bags is a line of lay-flat cosmetic and travel bags designed by Meredith Jurica of Willis, Texas. The entrepreneur pitched her million-dollar business on Shark Tank in January 2019. She went into the Tank seeking a $200,000 investment in exchange for 15 percent equity.
Jurica received three offers from Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary, guest Shark and Spanx founder and CEO Sara Blakely and the Queen of QVC Lori Greiner. Jurica accepted Greiner’s offer: $200,000 as a loan for 5 percent and $0.75 per bag.
After Shark Tank, Makeup Junkie Bags has been receiving tons of great press including a spot on Good Morning America, and the company continues to make new designs including those made of tooled vegan leather. See photos below. And just one month after the Shark Tank episode aired, Makeup Junkie Bags announced that it’s opening its third manufacturing location in Texas.
