LeBron James is under a lot of pressure. He puts it on himself, of course, by demanding excellence — both from himself and those around him. His first year as a Los Angeles Lakers star ended without James’s team making the playoffs — a rarity for the perennial contender James. Suddenly the GOAT of his era started hearing less than positive reviews about his leadership and priorities.
It was strange and didn’t make much sense — after all James had hardly changed in a year. He’s still the player that walks the walk and plays the game as right as anybody. But critics are critics. And even someone as above the fray as James hears them — especially in the whispers about Magic Johnson‘s odd Lakers departure, etc.
James shared a photo of his beautiful little daughter this week while his NBA brethren are in the midst of competing for an NBA title. Being out of the playoffs is a highly unusual place for James and his competitive nature seems to be all revved up with no place to go. In posting his 4-year-old daughter’s photo, he wrote “I dare you to try me when it comes to Daddy’s Lil Princess Z!! Promise you it won’t end well for you.”
Haters are haters and they’re out there, but why is James daring them to comment on his little girl? Get this man back in the playoffs!
