NBA legend Charles Barkley took a veiled shot at President Trump‘s obsession with a Mexican border wall just as Barkley’s old pal Tiger Woods is preparing to visit the White House to accept the Presidential Medal of Freedom from the POTUS. Hey, Tiger and Charles reportedly had a falling out anyway, after Tiger’s pre-comeback troubles saw the golfing legend allegedly ghost Barkley and a few other of his partying pals. Whatever Tiger had to do to mix up his social circle came full circle in April, as he returned to the Grand Slam winner’s podium after a decade-long drought. Woods won The Masters in what is being called one of sport’s great comeback stories.
Barkley, for his part, is happy for Tiger — but Trump’s move to honor Woods doesn’t endear the president to the NBA icon and Emmy-winning TV commentator. (Barkley is no fan of Trump.) Barkley took his shot at Trump’s wall in a quick one-off comment that’s typical of Barkley’s style, moving easily from the Boston Celtics defensive strategy against the Milwaukee Bucks to a global political wedge issue. When the Celtics tried to build a wall around Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, Barkley chimed in: “Building a wall is always a bad idea, America. Sorry.” Barkley lit up with a smile after his comment, which drew chuckles.
Woods becomes the 4th golfer to receive the Medal of Freedom, following icons Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and the PGA Tour’s first African American golfer, Charlie Sifford.

Barkley has joked about Trump’s wall before:
