NBA star Myles Turner is exciting to watch, even if you’re just some random basketball fan. But if you’re Myles Turner’s grandmother, then watching the 22-year-old 6’11” Indiana Pacers superstar means a whole different level of excitement. (See video below.) And this lady is not just rooting for Turner’s surprisingly strong Indiana Pacers, Grandmother is coaching too. “Take your time!” she yells at the TV screen.
It’s terrific to watch. Hey, everybody knows we all watch our favorite players this way, whether they’re our grandsons or nieces or the NBA MVP. But somebody should go over to Turner’s grandmother’s chair and turn it a little to face the TV. She’s going to get a mean kink in her neck watching like that — especially with all that enthusiasm. Or maybe she just wants her chair turned away like that so she can more easily look away, give herself a break and her heart a rest! Myles Turner has fewer than 100,000 followers on Twitter as yet, but more than a million people have already watched his grandmother watching the game. Alas, the Pacers lost by two. We feel you, Grandma.
