On the Bar Rescue episode “Dalia’s Inferno,” Jon Taffer travels to San Antonio, Texas to check out Country Nights Club. Before meeting the owner, Dalia Demoore, Taffer does his customary recon work. He sits in a car and watches the behavior of the owner and employees via hidden cameras in the bar. He doesn’t like what he sees. Who would? The owner Dalia, a “wild mom who parties hard while her bar peters out,” is giving out free shots when patrons are already there drinking. And one bartender, Melissa, has an attitude problem. She’s drunk (it’s only 9:30) and she’s taking a break after just two hours behind the bar (the custom is to take a break after four hours). Work seems like an inconvenience to her. “This is the most obnoxious bar staff I’ve ever seen.”

But wait, there’s more. When Melissa returns to the bar from her hour break, she climbs on the bar lays down and yells, “Look at my big boobs, guys!” She encourages patrons to retrieve full shot glasses from her cleavage without using their hands. “This is a freak show,” Taffer concludes. When Dalia offers a promotion – a $5 shot taken from her boobs – Taffer opens the door of his car and says ferociously, “There are no takers, I’m gonna go in and I’m gonna have a $5 boob shot.”

Spoiler alert: When asked if he would like one, he says, “No, I wouldn’t actually. I have no interest in your freak show.” Taffer’s temper rises. He yells at Dalia: “Your business is like your boobs, it’s sagging!” That line might hurt some women’s egos but not Dalia’s. Taffer can’t help but to crack a smile when she retorts: “My boobs stay up like the American flag.” Remarkably, Taffer decides to transform Country Nights Club into Madame Dalia’s Country Bar.
