Jared Hanrahan is one of the most interesting young musicians competing on Season 2 of American Idol on ABC. The 17-year-old from Marlborough, Massachusetts is a street performer, a busker, who often performs in Boston’s famous and popular Faneuil Hall marketplace. Jared also has had the privilege of performing at the famous and popular Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France, twice. (See his latest performance, in 2018, below.)
The highlight of Jared’s audition is when his father David Hanrahan accompanies him on electric guitar. The guitar is in a plexiglass box which has two holes for his arms. It’s one special guitar. Jared is seen playing it at a St. Patrick’s Day parade (see video below). American Idol airs Sundays at 8 pm on ABC, right before Shark Tank.
