In the Say Yes to the Dress episode “Hell Yes to the Dress,” tattooed lingerie and bikini model Cami Li drives her mother crazy when she insists on getting a black wedding dress. So when NBA champion Steph Curry’s little sister Sydel Curry walks into the bridal salon and tries on a “saucy” dress, at least it’s traditional white. (The “saucy” descriptor is courtesy of a SYTTD Facebook post!)
Her sister-in-law Ayesha Curry (Steph’s wife) says, “I love your butt but I will say the thing I don’t like is the bulls-eye to the lady parts.” (A piece of lace ends between the legs.) Her mother Sonya Curry says, “Her daddy’s not gonna like the sheer, see-through parts of the dress.” (Former NBA player Dell Curry is the father of Steph and Sydel.) While everyone loves the silhouette of the dress, Sonya’s not crying with tears of joy and Sydel says, “I want to see my mom cry.”
Sydel didn’t choose that dress but she did opt to wear two equally sexy gowns (see video below) for her wedding. In September 2018, Sydel Curry married NBA player Damion Lee who is currently with the Atlanta Hawks. Lee, who is 6’6” tall, played college ball at Drexel and Louisville before going pro. Say Yes to the Dress airs Saturdays at 8 pm on TLC.
