The protagonist of the Lifetime movie Psycho Prom Queen is math teacher Julie Taylor. She takes over the senior math class of her friend who recently died (a suspected suicide). To make matters worse, Julie is teaching at the prep high school where her daughter Miya (Nia Roam) is a student. Julie (rightfully!) worries when she sees Miya befriended by the school’s No. 1 mean girl, Amy Turner (Allie MacDonald). Amy is obsessed and determined to become prom queen. Keep in mind, the title of film was originally Mean Queen.
Miya’s mother Julie is portrayed by Zoe McLellan. She’s known for her roles on Designated Survivor (Kendra Daynes, see photo below), Suits (Holly Cromwell), NCIS: New Orleans (Meredith Brody), Dirty Sexy Money (Lisa George), and JAG (Jennifer Coates, SEE LINK ABOVE), among others. Psycho Prom Queen is premiering on Lifetime on Sunday, November 4 at 8 pm.
