Tail Lightz is a line of magnetic patches with LED lights designed for the back pocket of a pair of jeans and shorts, and for hats and purses, too. The inventor of Tail Lightz, Kyle Rainey of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, pitched his fashion accessory start-up business on Shark Tank in February 2012. He went into the Tank seeking an investment of $50,000 in exchange for 50 percent equity but, alas, he didn’t leave with a deal.

The Tail Lightz website is still active but the products are not available to purchase. Through Rainey’s company RainCo Products, Tail Lightz is available for licensing. According to Rainey’s individual website, he reports that after Shark Tank he’s been working as a consultant to inventors and names The Grill Gadget as one of the companies he has helped. New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9 pm on ABC. [Related: 27 Favorite ‘Shark Tank’ Products at Amazon — New List]
