Morninghead is a cap known as “the cure for bed head.” It’s a solution to the problem of when you wake up in the morning and don’t need or want to take a shower but your hair looks a mess after sleeping on it. It’s a device to wet your hair without having to take a shower (or awkwardly stick your head under a faucet). You just add water to the Morninghead cap (which has a super absorbent material inside), put it on and massage your head. In seconds your hair is completely wet and ready to be styled. The inventor of Morninghead, Max Valerde, pitched her business on Shark Tank in March 2014. He went into the Tank seeking an investment of $25,000 in exchange for 20 percent equity but, alas, he didn’t get a deal.
[Morninghead is on sale at Amazon for $10.99]
The clever washable, reusable cap is still available for purchase — see link above. According to LinkedIn, Valverde’s wife now runs Morninghead and Max (a mechanical engineer out of Brown University) is now COO at FareHarbor, an online reservation software company in Needham, Massachusetts. New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9 pm on ABC.
