The TLC cameras from Jill and Jessa: Counting On captured the wedding of John David Duggar, 28, and Abbie Grace Burnett, 26 on November 3, 2018. The couple have known each other for years, but when they reconnected this June, their courtship lasted one month before John David proposed. Five months later and the couple was exchanging vows in church.
While holding John David’s hand, Abbie read her handwritten vows for all 1,000 guests to hear. She made a promise to “not hold back” and to “go where you go, and fly and where you fly” which had the audience laugh as John David is a pilot. At the end of her vows, Abby said she will take his name as her “new identity.” At the end, she looked at John David and said, “I look forward to spending time together and growing old with you,” she added with a smile, “I love you, Sugar Muffin.” That last line makes both the bride and groom giggle and John David blush. Jill and Jessa: Counting On airs Tuesdays at 10 pm on TLC.
