In the Young Sheldon episode “A Research Study and Czechoslovakian Wedding Pastries,” Dr. Sturgis (Wallace Shawn) recommends Sheldon (Iain Armitage) and Missy (Reagan Revord) for a university research study on twins. George is all in because the kids get paid $50 an hour. “At 4 or 5 hours a week, that’s more than our mortgage,” he says to convince his wife Mary (Zoe Perry), which he does.
