On the Below Deck episode “Bitch in Charge,” while cruising around Tahiti, Captain Lee worries that bosun Chandler Brooks is not managing his deck team well. So he sits down with the bosun, who ends up telling Captain Lee that he wants to fire Rhylee Gerber. “There’s always backlash from Rhylee,” says Chandler. He admits, “I’m at my wit’s end with her.” Although he doesn’t say it in front of Captain Lee, Chandler says to the camera, “If I were the captain, she would be gone.”
We’re pretty sure chief steward Kate Chastain would concur with the decision to fire Rhylee. Remember when Rhylee lashed out at everyone at 2 am and Kate tried to convince her to go to bed and to stop digging the proverbial hole? Kate said, “She needs to respect everyone above her. And everyone else is above her.” Has anything really changed?
