ValPark Mobile was an app designed for users to find, pay and manage valet services for their vehicle when valeted at restaurants, garages, nightclubs, and hotels. The founder of ValPark Mobile, Wayne Johnson of Washington, D.C., pitched his business on Shark Tank in October 2015. He didn’t get a deal. Johnson thought guest Shark Troy Carter “was going to jump on this opportunity” but Carter proved to be “more apprehensive than anyone,” says Johnson.
Since appearing on Shark Tank, Johnson has moved on professionally and is now partner at Clout Group in Arlington, Virginia, where he’s helped with the opening of the swanky Saint Yves Lounge in May 2017. Now the Bowie State University grad is working on the opening of Abigail Nightclub and Kitsuen Ramen Bar in Fall 2018.
