On Season 5 of The Profit, serial entrepreneurial investor Marcus Lemonis travels to Los Angeles, California to check out Diaper Dude, a company that designs and manufacturers cool diaper bags for dads. Each Diaper Dude bag is designed to carry bottles, wipes, bibs, diapers, and each bag comes with the essential padded changing pad. Prices range from $59.99 to $92.99. Diaper Dude had a successful run but after 15 years in business, according to The Profit, Diaper Dude “is at death’s door” and the owner, Chris Pegula, “has allowed his fears to get the best of him.”

On The Profit, Lemonis sits down with Chris and his wife Meredith. When Lemonis asks Chris “So what did you learn?” Chris laughs. He then turns to Meredith and says, “The journey of this process, um, to discover myself as a sole person, as an individual experience…” Lemonis interrupts and asks Meredith, “Do you have any idea what he just said to you?” The wife says “I’m not quite sure” but guesses, “is this a back off moment?” Chris says, “Well, no, I mean, well, yeah.” The wife says, “Sure, I totally believe in you. I would love for you to do this on your own.” Phew! New episodes of The Profit air Tuesdays at 10pm on CNBC. [Related: Marcus Lemonis’ Broken Heart Sweater on The Profit – What’s the Deal?]
