AGT Voting: How To Vote For Live Shows 2018 [+Phone Numbers]
On the Season 13 premiere of America’s Got Talent, a hip hop dance troupe named Junior New System introduced themselves as “street children” from Manila, Philippines. Their audition started with the 11 young men dancing to the Missy Elliott song “WTF (Where They From)” featuring Pharrell Williams. And then in the middle of the performance, before you could blink an eye, the whole troupe was dancing in gold sparkly high heel booties. That’s when the music changed. Junior New System grooved to the Fergie song “Fergalicious” featuring Will.i.am. After their audition, JNS received a standing ovation from the audience and all four judges. Heidi Klum said, “You guy woke me up!”

Junior New System knows how to work a crowd. They were finalists on Asia’s Got Talent in 2015. The members of Junior New System now call the diverse working class city of Carson, California home. While 23% of the Carson population is White and another 23% is African-American, 25 percent of the racial makeup of Carson is Asian — with 20.9 percent of that Asian population being Filipino. Many hip hop artists have come out of Carson including Brandy and Ray J, and Dr. Dre. New episodes of America’s Got Talent air Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC, right before World of Dance.
