Mush is an all-natural line of ready-to-eat overnight oatmeal. You don’t cook the oatmeal, you soak them in a coconut or almond milk overnight and keep it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to eat it. Mush comes in four flavors: wild blueberry, apple crisp, vanilla bean and dark cacao. An 8-pack of Mush (6 oz. containers) sells for $39.99. The founders of Mush, Ashley Thompson and Kat Thomas of San Diego, California, pitched their packaged food business on Shark Tank in November 2017. They went into the Tank seeking an investment of $300,000 for 10 percent equity. They received a number of offers including one from guest Shark Rohan Oza who spoke about his success with Pop Chips. But they accepted the offer from Mark Cuban — $300,000 for 10 percent with an unlimited line of credit — after he told Oza, “They don’t want to be Pop Chips, they want to change the world.”

Since Shark Tank, Mush is working on a coconut cold brew flavor (which has a pinch of sea salt). Thomas reports that she and Thompson would like to move ahead with a kid version, Mushkins and are considering making a “shmudie,” which would essentially be a protein smoothie. “We’ve got some tricks up our sleeves,” she says.
