EverlyWell is a company that provides DIY lab tests to customers. Customers collect their own blood and/or urine at home and then send it to a lab for testing. EverlyWell tests eliminates the trip to the doctor and out-of-pocket expenses. Customers can check results for free on the EverlyWell website. EverlyWell provides easy-to-use kits for a variety tests including food sensitivity, cholesterol and fertility, among others. The founder of EverlyWell, Harvard Business School alum Julia Cheek of Dallas, Texas, pitched her business on Shark Tank in November 2017. She went into the Tank seeking an investment of $1 million in exchange for five percent equity. She made a deal with Lori Greiner — $1 million line of credit for 8 percent interest. Greiner said of EverlyWell, “I think the product is brilliantly crafted.”

Since Shark Tank, Cheek reports that EverlyWell plans to shift from relying on customers ordering tests online to getting EverlyWell into retail stores. EverlyWell is collaborating on a product with DNA testing company Helix, among other partnerships in the works. Looking into the future, Cheek told MedCityNews, “If a physician is pre-authorized, we will be able to automatically share test results with them.” [33 Smart Shark Tank Gifts For Men, Women, Kids, Pets — New List]
