In The Resident episode “Run, Doctor, Run,” Drs. Conrad (Matt Czuchry) and Devon (Manish Dayal) try desperately to save the life of a woman who’s dying quickly from undetermined symptoms. Meanwhile, York Evans (Steve Rosen) returns to the hospital with his mother who needs a risky surgery by stone-cold cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. AJ Austin. Dr. Austin is portrayed by Malcolm-Jamal Warner. The former child actor (Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show) is also known for his roles on Sneaky Pete (James Bagwell), Ten Days in the Valley (Matt), Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce (Darrell), Suits (Julius Rowe), American Crime Story (Al Cowlings), Major Crimes (Chuck Cooper), Sons of Anarchy (Sticky), and Community (Andre Bennett), among others. The Resident airs Mondays at 9pm on FOX, right after Lucifer.
