Country singer Kaleb Lee has made it to the Top 8 on The Voice. For the live semi-finals round, the artists will sing one solo song and one duet. Kaleb Lee is singing two hillbilly songs, literally. For his solo song, Kaleb is singing “Hillbilly Bone” by his former coach Blake Shelton (the song features The Voice mentor Trace Adkins). Kelly Clarkson stole Kaleb during the Battle Round, when Blake chose Pryor Baird over Kaleb. (They sang the Tom Petty song “Don’t Do Me Like That.”) Now Kaleb and Pryor will share the stage again when they sing the duet “Hillbilly Deluxe” by Brooks & Dunn.

The 2005 song “Hillbilly Deluxe” by Brooks & Dunne is about small towns, pickup trucks, and having a “country girl cuddled up” beside you. Shelton’s “Hillbilly Bone” is also about having pride in liking rural things including small towns, trucks, and those “pretty little country queens.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
