Jason Wilkes (who goes by the name WILKES) is the 33-year-old singer/songwriter from Georgia who’s competing on Season 14 of The Voice. For his Blind Audition, the long-haired musician sang The Wallflowers’ 1996 hit “One Headlight.” On Team Blake, WILKES was pitted against Jordan Kirkdorffer for the Battle Round. After singing Chris Stapleton’s “Nobody to Blame,” WILKES was chose by Blake Shelton as the winner (Jordan was eliminated from the show).
WILKES brings a lot of experience to The Voice. He toured with the band High Flight Society for 12 years and with Georgia-born country singer Sam Hunt. He also was a member of the well-known Christian rock band, Disciple. When WILKES became a dad in 2010, he quit touring and settled into a career writing country music. He lives on a lake in Georgia with his pretty wife Chelsey who owns the hair salon Bloom Hair Design in Canton, Georgia. (Her hair is as long as his!) Business must be good because the salon is doubling its floor space — that’s ten more chairs! Chelsey owns the salon with her sister Jana Tillman. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
